I’m interested in cultural transformations - changes and ruptures of cultural processes; especially the convergence between culture and aesthetics. How do aesthetic devices frame culture, and how does culture affect aesthetic developments? In my phd, I analyzed how cultural time-space compression requires new aesthetic devices, based on those used in the science fiction genre. Currently, I’m researching a project on transgressive aesthetics, which is elaborated more here.
